can I use the stock lightning sc.I have a 97 f150 4.6 coupe.I really think these truks are capable of better quarter times than posted.Please any info is needed.I just want my truck to keep up with a stock lightning.Any used superchargers for sale?How about a turbo.Here is a theory,can I get a junkyard 5.4,put on a lightning sc,and run with the big dogs.How much $,How hard is it.Can I use the lightning superdharger on the 4.6.I would like to get low 13,s with about $4500.I already have a catback,filter injection.I also know alot about turbos,I have raced turbo regals for about 10 years.How good do you think a 4.6 would run with a 9psi powerdyne,alcohol injection,superduty intercooler.I think I could get into the 13,s with this setup.

 

Its been done 1-2 times and discussed a lot. It would be way to much money and work to swap a L blower on a non-L. Easiest would be to swap in a L motor from karkraft.com but even that isnt easy or cheap and would still blow your budget outta the water. Best bet would be trade your truk in on a lightning or talk to crash or skidmark racing(got-boost.com I believe or find them on htese boards) they can help you get more power and better times out of it.

You will be better off getting an aftermarket supercharger. It will be hard getting your truck in those times with that kind money.....but the 13s can be had with a 12psi procharger, 3 core IC setup.
