normal clunking noise?

Hello. When driving along at 35 MPH and getting off the accelerater, is normal to hear a clunk from some part of the drive train? dealer told me that it has to do this because the yoke{?} has to have some play.I owned this truck for 4 years and I never heard this before until last week.Any suggestions would be very appreciated. Am I being to fussy?

There has been some talk on this board about this.

Some have said it is a u-joint gone bad.

Also in some cases the slip yoke at the transmission gets dirty and gets a little stuck so when you come to a stop it binds slightly then clunks to its proper position.

You could also have something going bad in the suspension like a bad shock, loose leaf spring, worn tie rod, etc.

I am sure someone else will chime in with some good ideas.

Mine makes a wierd clunk noise if I slow down from like 15 to like 5 or so to go over a speed bump and then hit the gas a little to start going...

Not sure... my truck barely runs right now though... Let me explain what happened in one word... Nitrous...

Without driving you truck, its hard to tell by word description. Sounds like a normal condition to me, even if very low milage.
