Guys Guys..

You are forgetting about the Intake Manifold Tuning (IMT) system. Above 3000 RPM it is supposed to open up creating more efficient air/fuel charge. If it is sticking this could be causing your lag. I have read they are hard to diagnoise. Lets not solve every problem with a chip!

Haha, Kind of ironic since Im an computer engineer.

LOL hope this helps.

Hi guys.
I have an '02 Scab 4.6L 2wd Lariat. I have never experienced any kind of lag at WOT, and that's with the rpm's well over 4000. The only thing I notice is the serpentine belt chirps when it shifts.

3500 rpm??? I've never gotten mine anywhere near that high.
Ohhh come on! Runnin the 4.6 up around 5000-5200 is fun every now and then. My truck never backs off till it hits 4800-5000. Must have a rev limiter some where in that area.

Yup, get a gatorback belt for it to stop the squeel.

Mine hits 5400rpm right before it shifts from 1-2 and 5200rpm from 2-3. It pulls strong and really gets going anything over 3000rpm.
