Question coolant additives

Anyone add anything to their coolant systems besides distilled water and antifreeze? Just wondering if anyone had experience with Water Wetter from Redline. Thinking about adding it due to the higher mileage on my engine. Any pros and cons or experiences?

I can't foresee any sort of advantages of running the water wetter vs water and the recommended coolant.

Generally water wetter is used in high performance applications where an engine is going to be sustaining high rpms for a long period of time. i.e. autocross or road racing. Or the cooling system leaves something to be desired, e.g. a lot of drag race-only cars.

I would stick with the regular stuff until it stops doing it's job.

I read an article in Mustang magazine where they used different amounts of the stuff. Adding 1 bottle to a mustang dropped the temps 3 deg. At 100% it lowered it 14 deg. I don't know if the rads were aluminum or copper though. I really don't think it's worth it. You'd have to buy so much to make a difference because of the volume of coolant used in a truck it would be a waste.
