f150 Diesel?
I wish they would put a diesel in the F-150. Could you imagine all that torque in a half ton? That would be cool.

That's exactly why they won't build it.
People would over load the vehicle because they have a perception that all diesels are for towing.
Ford has a 5 cylinder diesel in Europe that would work perfect in an F150/Expedition.
Fuel consumption is a a moot discussion, it would take you 20 years to recoupe the money in fuel savings.

You probably wont see one until the stricter emmision come into effect in 2006.
Problem is that the Crappy Diesel Fuel in the USA, is hard for vehicle manufacture to make a diesel meet the diesel emmissions.
In Europe, diesel fuel is much cleaner, with ultra low sulpher and a cetane rating over 50.
My VW TDI doesn't run as well in the US. I always try to pick good station that has premium diesel, but they are hard to find.
I'd bet around 2006 you will see more and more diesels in the USA. I would expect volvo, Ford, Audi, MB, Chrysler etc to bring diesels to the Market.
