Engine injectors

i had posted a while ago about some engine trouble and it was diagnosed that it was fuel injectors i was givien a few links and i ordered a set from summit raceing http://store.summitracing.com/partde...MS%2DM9593C302 i was assured they would fit and have no problems. when i recived the injectors i pulled my old ones and attempted to insert the new ones only to find they dont fit. the plastic tip of the injector had a larger collar around it then my orginals. after some debate and severe disregard for the warrenty on the injectors i took my dremel to the tips and ground down the collar so they would fit. i lubed up the o-rings with a light coat of silicone grease to ease installation and got everything back together. after starting it the engine ran and idled like it was new i let her warm up all the way and took it for a test drive it was horrible, it seemed a few cylinders wernt even fireing it was pinging real bad the whole truck would shake. i would have put back in my orginal injectors but the plastic on them were so brittle some of them they cracked or broke the injectors from summit had the same body style and size just a diffrent size tip i dont see how my grinding could have affected them i cleaned them thourghly after grinding to remove and traces of plastic as a result of the grinding. i was very presice in getting the same shape and size of the orginals. orginal stock replacements from ford are about $75 each and i needs 8 what are my options i allready spent $220 on these.

I would say, belly up and get the Ford injectors.

Injector failures are EXTREMELY rare and to have all 8 go out is even more remote.

You need to have your concern properly diagnosed.

For injectors use http://www.lindertech.com I think they rebuild all kinds of injectors. I have used them in the past on fuel injected BMW motorcycles with great results.

ok this is what happened, the injectors that were in the truck were the orginals, the plastics very brittle the moveing parts worn out, and the spray looked more like a squirt gun then a atomized spray. i orded new injectors and installed them myself after the install it runs better but the engine shakes as if its missing. all injectors are receveing the correct voltage. i asked a buddy of mine to take a look at it today and we realized due to the old injectors the truck was running rich and the computer compensated. the buildup of carbon clogged the EGR tube and large deposits on the valves, O2 sensor was full of carbon. i replaced the O2 sensor, cleaned out the EGR tube and checked the EGR valve for proper operation. i also looked for vaccume leaks and found none. i left the battery dissconneced for about 2 hours while i did this work to reset the computer. after letting it warm up to normal temp i took it for a test drive ran like a new truck. i do appreceate the link to the injector service, ill be looking for replacements for my wifes car soon as it hits the 200,000 mile mark a 95 Ford Touras. again thanls for the links!
