code 451???

code 451???
i have a engine light on, it says code 451- aux emission control valve. can not find anything about code 451. i have 40,000 miles. 2001 4.6. anyone got an idea

aux emission control valve
Your code is a fancy way of saying there is a short/malfunction in the FTP (fuel tank pressure) sensor.

Is that the same code that gets sent when there's a problem with the fuel cap not sealing right.

No sir, that would be:

P0455 Evap Emission Control System Leak Detected (Gross Leak/No Flow)

He's getting:

P0451 Evap Emission Control System Pressure Sensor Performance

Same system, but widely different causes.
