I have a 95 F-150 302 supercharged. A week or so ago the truck started running horrible in the morning. The truck spits and sputters pings etc. and barley makes it down the road. I tried adjusting the boost retard, but that made no difference. Eventually when the truck is warm it runs great! My mechanic can’t figure it out, thinks it might be my computer and I really don’t want the dealership working on this truck. What doesn’t make sense is that when the truck sits all afternoon and I leave work at the end of the day the motor is obviously cold but the outside air temp is between 65-80 the truck runs fine. Only when the entire engine is cold from sitting overnight does it run bad. I'm not sure if I have a bad sensor or what it may be. I have a ton of modifications done to this truck and I don’t know where to begin. Any advice you can offer would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for you help.
