I have a 2001 4.6 f-150 auto. In the mornings when I start my truck it will hardy run or idle. It idels at like 300 rpm. Then after a few seconds jumps up to its normal operation. The temp here is below 0 celcius at times. Is it my IAC vavle?? Also there is no codes.

 

sounds like it, i just perlace my dpfe bec my won't idle right either, but haven't turend my truck on since, sounds like it might be the iac. just my $.02

 

Mine does the same thing. I have cleaned the IAC but still runs rough for the first couple of seconds. I will probably end up replacing the IAC.

 

goat let me know how you make out. The dealer sells the IAC for 185 here in Canada so I want to make sure that is what it is.

go aftermarket at a parts store. They're cheaper than the dealership. Mine retailed for 150+tx. tho I got it a lot cheaper.
