I've located my where my ping and rattle is coming!A friend of mine put the emergency brake on and braced all 4 wheels and put in drive and then accelerated to about 1800 rpms and sure enough we duplicated the ping and rattle. it's coming from the passenger side of the motor. our next step is to unplug each coil and injector one at a time to see if their is a dead or slow performing injector or coil. We took the plugs out after one load and they were whitish/gray , but the gaps were in specifications.Motorcraft double Platinum plugs.I've clean everthing from the IAC to the EGR , I've ran seafoam through it, to having the fuel injector cleaner ran through the motor on the machine at the shop. One thing my uncle told me might be the culprit is the valve lash adjusters/lifters.He's been a Ford Dealers Master Mechanic for as long as I can remember.He said he has seen these lifters go out and people try everything we try on this site and don't realize that this to is a possibility especially those of us with higher mileage motors.
