Thumbs up

bzzzzzzzzzzzzt? Who are you, Chris Tucker?

It cost me thousands less, because I bought it used. 21K out the door with a sprayed in bedliner, and 6/75 warranty. 24k on the clock. They also completely replaced everything in the a/c system. It was not functioning at the time of the test drive. Viper alarm and Kenwood HU. Big deal, we all have nice trucks. It's what you do after the purchase that makes them really shine. Sounds like you got a nice truck too.,,,,98

Maybe having XL on your title will save you some money on your 30% share of the Virginia Personal Property taxes.

Take some pics of the interior and exterior. I'd like to see this truck now, after all the speculation and discussion? Anyone else curious to see this truck?,,,,98

Oh really?

I don't think that they are really all that accurate when they do the write ups. I had to have some work done on my truck earlier this year. The appraiser came and looked at the damage. When I got the report there were a lot of discrepancies. They said that my truck was a Lariat.

There are XL's in many trims. My STX is an XLT but I have seen many STX's that were XL's. I think that starting with an XL is the way that peorple are able to pick and choose the features they want. If you get an XLT or Lariat you get the features they give you wether you want them or not.

I have a 98 XL 4.6 and 99 XLT 5.4 (I also have a 99 Lariat that is my primary transportation). On my trucks, besides the XLT having a higher trim line with carpet instead of a rubber mat, the XL has an long bed, AC, 4.6 engine, 3.55 LS, and auto trans, as it's only options that were on it. I purchased both trucks used and the XL had the original window sticker in the glove box. Other differences the XL had mickey mouse door mirrors and no sound deadening inside the cab. I bought both as work trucks – my requirements were LWB, V8, and at least 3.55 with limited slip.

Both are reg cab and have K&N filters. Other similarities are auto trans and 3.55 LS rear ends. They both get about 15 MPG unless they are on the road, then the 4.6 gets slightly better at 20.
