Question Can Someone Help

HEY, I HAVE A 2000 F150 XLT 5.4 I AM LOOKING AT A 160 THERMOSTAT, WILL THAT BE A GOOD THING OR A BAD THING THE REASON I ASK IS I DO NOT KNOW WHAT THE FACTORY IS, AND I DO NOT WANT TO BURN UP MY WATER PUMP

You need to use at least 180 to get the engine controls to work properly.

The factory stat is is 195 degrees. This usually maintains engine temps of 200 or slightly less.

I doubt a 180 would bother things much but a 160 would probably gunk the engine up so bad from running cold that there would be issues with more than a waterpump.
