Theres a trick, they work better if you buy two, put one on throttle body and the other in line on you exhaust system! Muucho HP!

I put one in my Mustang, and I'm getting 49 mpg in the city now, so I don't know why anybody says this thing doesn't work

No flame, but the Tornado does NOT spin. It is fixed in the air inlet and has a swirl pattern that the air flows through.

I had one installed on my 98 Extended Cab with the 4.2L V-6. While I noticed no difference at all in my city driving mileage, I can say this:

Before it was installed, I NEVER made it over 375 miles on a tank of gas (Interstate driving only).

After I installed it, I routinely made it to 390 - 400 miles on a tank of gas (again, Interstate driving only).

Both scenarios above were from from dozens of tanks of fuel, all year round, in all driving conditions.

I no longer do the long Interstate trips I used to, so I can't justify the cost as it did not seem to improve anything in the around town mileage arena, which is where I typically do most of my driving now.

glyoungca, I guess I'll stir the pot with you.

I've made many trips back and forth from Atlanta to Fayetteville, NC (somewhat hilly trip) both with and without the Tornado. I don't tow anything, but I've noticed that without the Tornado (inside my AF1 intake kit ) my truck seems to downshift more often when climbing hills under cruise control (usually approx 78 mph) and also doesn't seem to have the same "get up and go" at highway speeds. I've also noticed about 1 mpg better milage with it installed. I am loyal to the same grade/distributor of gas on both ends of the trip, so I have hopefully, through many trips, ruled out gas quality fluctuations a major factor for my findings.

No, I haven't dyno'ed the truck with and without it to prove it works, but then again how many of you that spend a lot of time in your truck can't at least tell when your truck is driving/performing differently????

By-the-way, I had a dealership service dept. tell me the other day that my aftermarket air intake was allowing TOOOOOO much air into the engine and could cause problems, so we should probably all remove our intake kits too. Thought y'all would like that one.
