what the-what the....iac

ok, ok, people have been more than nice about this, maybe I "ain't gettin it". How are you guys ordering your iac for so cheap. I have been searching for quite a while, and have some funky looking parts sent to me from carparts.com. Obviously idle speed control, and idle air control are different.
I need someone to walk me through this. I have the oem part number.
On a separate note, sscully, put a new pigtail on the iat sensor, and , code p0112 is no more.
Unfortunately, code 3070 came up. misfire plug #7...
It never ends......
so, anyone want to give this moron a foolproof website where I can order an iac for a 97, xl, 4.6, 4x4?

thanks

Prices range from $45 to $110

Don't know what you've been getting or ordering, but any of these should work.

The same part is known as the Throttle Air bypass and the Idle Speed Control. All are different names for the IAC

Check your packing slips or order forms to see what the make and NUMBER of the ISC that you received have been.

What part number(s) did you order?

all iac's aren't created equal

Autopartsgiant.com sent me an idle speed control unit that doesn't look like the sensor I am trying to replace.
ordered kem part#150-255
got kem part#150-406
this is the part number in entirety from the oem part gm03b2 f65e 9f715 ga.
I haven't been able to find a site that exactly matches these numbers!!!
any help would be appreciated.
Is o'reilly's a "global" term for a bunch of websites? Everytime I type that on a search, I get jc whitney etc....

thanks

O'Reilley's is a regional autoparts chain in the Midwest and the South/Southeast. They allow you to look up items, but they do not sell over the web.

You ordered what should have been the correct item, however, APG apparently sent you the wrong part. I have never run into the brand name of "Kem" before. They are a new name to me.

If they can't get it right, you can order from either AutoZone or PartsAmerica's web sites.
