Unhappy more miles per gallon pleeeeze

I have a good ole 1996 Ford F150 4X4 reg cab short bed with the 300cu.in 6cyl 5speed man trans. I get about 13 + or - 1 mpg. I have installed 3inch exhaust, high flow cat, flomaster muf and K&N filter. I still get 13 + or - 1mpg. I'm pissed. What can I do to squeeeeze a couple of more MPG's outa this truck besides pushing it off of a twenty mile high cliff? Any "constructive" ideas would be appreciated. JIMMYBUD@***.NET

electric fans seems like your best bet...see www.troyerperformance.com

and do a search here for electric fans....this should keep you busy for a few days.

I have bought several items from Mr Troyer and it has all worked as advertised. I buying a fan kit next for myself as soon as I can figure a way to hide the money.. unless he has a two-payment plan so I can split it up!!

Mine always sucked.

I never got any better than 13mpg's outta my sixer. I put dual exahst, on it, premium wires, K&N. Finally I just put a 351 in it and at least I had power for the fuel economy

Some people claim 17 outta them. I never could get it.

One of my buddies is getting 16-17mpg with 300 with 5 speed
a k+n filter ,plat. plugs,2" exhaust and 33 x 9.5 bfg tires .

You could be losing mpg if you have a boat rack, roll bar, push bar or lift on your truck
