Question Need help bypassing my A/C pump

Where I live I NEVER use A/C, and it's frustrating that my '98 F250LD4x4 uses A/C at every climate setting other than "Panel". I don't want to rip out the system and kill my re-sale, but is there a way to just take the A/C off the serpentine belt system?

Will it be bad for the A/C to do this? Is there an easier way to get that 20Hp back and save some gas?

Remove your relay running the AC compressor clutch so it never cuts in. The relay should be under the hood in the power distrubution center. Check the owners manual it tells you which relay. You can also check and see if you can remove a fuse as 1 fuse may feed more than the AC compressor other things may not work with the fuse removed. With the AC compressor clutch not cutting in it doesnt steal HP as it becomes an idler pulley
