1994 302 automatic 110,000 miles
In the summer I got bad hesitation/surging and eventually a check engine light. Computer read code 172 (O2 sensor reads lean) I replaced the O2 sensor and it ran beautifully for 1,000 miles. Then same thing again. I checked the pcv valve and return hose and was fine, but replaced the pcv anyway and put in a new O2 sensor (thinking the new one was defective) and it ran beautiful for 700 miles. Now hesitation agian and check engine light/code 172. What could make my motor run lean intermitantly?
