Valve Lash

Hey guys, I have an '86 f150 EFI 302 V8, I think i have hydraulic lifters... anyway there is a constant knocking that is loud, and increases with engine speed... so I think its the valves... anyway does anyone know how I would adjust the valves on my truck? do you think theres a failed component in the valves? Ive never really done hydraulic lifters before... so any help would be appreciated, thanks guys.

If there is an adjustment, it is made with the engine running. with most hyd. lifters they normally get clogged and compress. Try an oil additive and see if you can "free up" the lifter first. Very odd to have a lifter become unadjusted.
