Engine Humming

This is my first post so cut me some slack.

'97 Ford F250HD, 55,000 miles. Recently installs: true duals, FIPK, and chip. Truck ran well with greatly increased performance for 2 weeks.

I poured a bottle of injector cleaner in one of my tanks on empty....then forgot to add gas for 2 days! After adding gas my fuel gauge for that tank was screwed up; showing empty when it is full. Now it is irradic sometimes accurate, sometimes showing empty.

Yesterday a loud humming started coming from the engine. It comes and gos. Could this be an underhood struggling fuel pump with crap from my tank, or a stuffed fuel filter with the same crap? When I put my hand on the intake hoses behind the FIPK I can feel the vibrations strongly from the hum.

This truck has never given me any problems, now that I am paying attention to it with mods and maintenance, I have issues.

Any suggestions?

Aloha,
Marcus
