Question 4.2 v6 reliability

Hello I'm new here, Ive got a 2001 F150xl 4.2L 5sp.
I curently have 65,000 miles on it. I've heard a few horror stories about the 4.2 v6 . I was wondering if there are major reliability issues with this motor any and all help will be greatly appreciated.
By the way Ive changed the oil every 3,000 to 5,000 miles rotated tires . changed trans and rearend oil , and filters as I should. will need front brakes an about another 5,000 miles back in about 10,000 or so.

the 97-98's had head gasket problems along with a few other problems. Yours is newer, it should be fine

The 97s and some 98s did not have head gasket problems. The lower intake gaskets and timing cover gaskets were defective. If you get these gaskets replaced on these two year model motors you should have no problems. All 4.2s after the 98 year do not have these gasket problems.

As long as you keep up with the maintenane, you should be fine.

Except for head gasket problems. Don't know if it is wide spread, I don't think so because I have rarely heard about it. I had my head and head gasket replaced at approx. 12,000 miles, its going to need another one because it looks like it has another leaking head gasket. This is an 01 4.2
