when you reset the computer, do you have to let the truck idle for ten minutes or so, or do you reset and take off? i've heard you have to let it idle for 10 minutes before driving...

yes once the PCM is reset start the truck without giving it any gas (you should never ever give it any gas when you start it anyway and if you do it might be the root cause of your problem.)

then let it idle for 8-10 min then drive it carefully for no less than 30 minutes trying to drive in all conditions. (stop-go, highway, etc) It will shift funny a few times and will make some strange noises but eventually will straighten itself out.

actually my trucks idle (5.4) has gotten smoother as the truck has gained mileage and age.

how did you find out which injector was bad? can you check the plugs for signs?
One way is to disconnect each injector one at a time and listen for changes. If it doesn't change then that is the suspect injector.
