4.2 L 1999
I own a 1999 F150 with 115000 miles ,I have been reading
about all the problems with the 4.2L engine.I was wandering
If there has been any problems with the 99's. I hav'nt owned
this truck for very long and I am very pleased with it. The
engine runs real well. Just would like to know if Ford improved
the engine?

The leaking head gasket issues are found on '97 and some early '98 models. A redesigned "stronger" gasket was introduced in the '98+ engines. 115K seems like a lot of miles, but try a SEARCH on 100,000 mile club and you'll see a lot of trucks make it that far and more. It's a good thread, because a lot of guys listed what they had to replace and when.
