98 f150 5.4L 2v to 4v
Is it possible to convert a 5.4L 2v to a 4v engine by either aftermarket heads or heads from a navigator? if so what all would need to be done such as computers, throttle boddies and sensors?
thanks for your help

gt90,
Yes it is possible. The two engines use the same block. Following are most of the parts necessary. I could be missing something.
1. Front cover with pulleys
2. Timing chains, guides, and tensioners.
3. Cylinder heads W/ covers.
4. Upper and lower navigator intake with throttle body.
5. I am not sure if they use the same exhaust manifolds maybe somebody else on this board knows.
6. The wiring harness and computer from your 5.4L 2 valve may be able to be used. I don't know. The easiest way would be to get the Navigator engine harness and computer.
It is a fairly involved swap. The best thing to do is get a complete Navigator engine with computer and harness. The engine will bolt in but there will be alot of little things necessary to complete this swap.
Good Luck!
