Question Will T-bird headers fit?

I was wondering if the headers that fit a '94-'97 T-bird 4.6L will fit my '97 F-150 4.6L? Maybe they are made different because it's a car...maybe not?

I have never heard of anyone doing this. And I think the T-bird engines are 4 valve, not 2 valve. Course the headers may still work.

Ofcourse you have no way of knowing that they would fit without modification, as the engine compartments are different. And, since they are stock, they are not headers, they are exhaust manifolds. It would be a better idea to just buy some headers for your 4.6 liter, as they are built for your engine and truck size. As they have been designed for your 2 valve engine in your 5000 pound truck.

Bottom line: The exhaust manifolds may fit, but would do soooo little good that installation in itself would not be worth it.

the 94-97 thundrbird has a 2v head, so they should bolt up. the reason shortys are so popular is they are easier to install and usually dont require a trip to the muffler shop. if you get a header that will bolt up with no interference from anything in the engine compartment, chances are you will have to go to a muffler shop to tie the exhaust system together. so unless they are free or cheep, probably more trouble then they are worth.
if they are jba or hedman then give them a call and ask what the difference is.
so the answer is yes and no.

truth be known...i found these t-bird headers there were/are on ebay. i was just wondering if they would fit at both the head and the exhaust pipe. the cheapest i have found from jba or hedman is like $386 i believe. these t-bird headers are $250. i was just wondering if i could save myself some money by using these or not. if its too much trouble then i wont. but even if i did have to talke these to a mufflershop and i stiil came out better then i might do that.
