when I am about to start accelerating my f150 pause and then goes almost like its in netural and the jumps into gear. Also when I go from reverse to foward it does the same thing. I drive a automatic too. Cna anyone help?

 

Need more info on the ride, year, engine, miles, mods, etc. But, sounds a little like you may be low on tranny fluid.

 

i have a 98 f150 XLT. No mods yet. I just got the truck recently so just starting on it. Engine is the v6 and its new. Only has about 40k on it. Thats all i think an suggestions?

 

Check the tranny fluid level. Make sure it's warmed up first. That would be my first best guess. Do you know if the previous owner towed with it? Does it have a tow package?

 

I guess i need to check the fluids then because i have no tow package. Thanks for your help
