Question for those using Ford Racing wires. . .

How well do the spark plug boots fit in the cylinder head?

I'm currently using Crane FireWire wires and found out that the plug boots let water leak past them and now I've got rustly spark plugs and rust crud built up.

Do the Ford Racing wires leak? Does anyone else have plug wire recommendations?

Thanks

I have the racing wires but have not checked to see if they allow water leaks.

Looks like I have something to do this weekend...will let you know then.

I've got these wires, but have not installed them yet. What I would like to know is if the stock wire holders will accept the larger diameter wire? If not, what did you replace them with?

Nope...

Stock wire holders will not work...wires too thick. Need to get some that will accept wider diameter at nearly any auto parts store.

Yes water will go down into the holes which will cause rough running and your check engine light to come on.

You can buy aftermarket looms that will hold them or buy them from ford.
