help for an old guy.

I know I'm old, but I must be going blind also. Where is the diagnostic port on the 1997 f-150? Can't see it anywhere under the dash. Is it in the engine compartment? Please help.

Should be under the dash where your right leg is you sit in the drivers seat. It's tucked up underneath. You can't see it from a sitting position.

Dang! I am getting old. It was sitting there right in front of me. Thanks a bunch. My story will be: it looked different than the one on my Jetta. :0).

LOL, don't feel bad, I didn't know where mine was either until they needed to connect a flight recorder to it to assist troublshooting a problem I had with my 97...
