been visiting this site for a long time and you guys all seem pretty knowledgable about many subjects so here goes, what is the singls best upgrade I can do to my 4.6 other than exhaust, and air filter to improve my performance, but maintain drivability.

If you don't want to spend a lot, chip would be my choice.
If you have deep pockets, supercharger will be the best performance mod you can ever get.

I know this probably sounds dumb, but what is a microtuner, how much are they, and what kind of chip and how much are thay?

 

A microtuner is a programing tool, kinda like a chip, but not.

Just don't get the microtuner if you plan on installing a supercharger.

I would get a supercharger first. That's what I did.
