Question How to store an engine?

I've got an engine I want to store indefinately. What do you guys think is the best way to do it? Is there some special stuff to spray into the cylinders? Its out of the car, and sitting on a moving dollie, so I can't turn it over. I've stuffed paper towels into the exhaust manifolds so that critters won't nest in there.

Not sure how much this will help but you can buy fogging spray from a marine store used to protect cylinder walls during the off season. Just spray it in the spark plug holes.

You can also get paper bags of stuff to help absorb any moisture but I can't remember the name of it. I would say toss a couple of those in with the engine and wrap well in plastic to kepp dust off etc.

You can spin the motor over with a long ratchet wrench.
Do NOT use WD40, the motor will rust pretty bad.
I would not use any paper product to seal the engine-this would attract more "critters" to move into their new home.
You should be able to get plastic plugs that would fit in the exhaust ports.
Like PBCrisis said, go to a marine supply store and get some of their fogging spray. I know OMC and Mercury offers it.
