A/C & Check Engine (Relation)

97 5.4L 4x4 truck.

Everytime I run the Air Condition my check engine light comes on. It doesn't come on right away, but does after a while. I'm guessing that this happens because the A/C condensation run off is maybe landing on the o2 censor ? Anyone have any suggestion's, answers, comments?

Thanks

Before we can say for sure what is causing what we need to know what the code is. Most part stores will read the code for free. make sure thay give you the code and not just it's your such and such. post back here with the code and we can help you track down the problem.

Your truck is probably one of many that needs a shield over the sensor to protect the O2 sensor from the condensate water. Should have been done while under warranty years ago.

If I remember correctly, this problem doesn't throw a code until the sensor fails.
