Going back for a third time

I just crawled under the truck and the rear oil pan bolts were dripping oil, followed it straight up to the drivers side head.Going in to the dealer 8/09.This will be the third time, I am going to push for a new engine this time,(remanufactured) most likely.It is a 4.6, have there been many problems with the replacement motors? I have 39k on the truck so hopefully the extended warranty will pay for itself now.

Sure sorry to hear that. Yuck! I have not been keeping up on your story, but be sure to let us know what happens. I'm glad that I bought my extended warranty as well.

My truck is in the shop (Ford) now for the same thing. I have a leaky pass. side head gasket leak. It's an 01 4.6L.

Something I'm curious about

-All 5.4L engines are built at the Windor Plant....
-The 4.6L engines are built at the Winsor and Romeo plants...

Are only the 4.6L Windsor built engines developing head gasket leaks???

The 8th position of the VIN signifies engine assembly plant:
6=Windsor
W=Romeo

AJ-

Nope, mine is a "W" Romeo built engine. The pass. side gasket is seeping. So is my father's 97 4.6L (driver's side).
