Profile Ignition Pick-up (PIP) HELP

Hey guy's, I've seen some other post on "stuttering" problems.
My 1995 F-150 (4.9) manual is having the same problem.
I replaced plugs, rotor, cap, plug wires and fuel filter.
The truck stutters at times like it's running out of gas. A couple of times it stopped running altogether while driving. I had the transmission replaced last month and the mechanic told me a code for "profile ignition pick-up (PIP) came back. The "stutter" was happening before the Tranny was replaced.
I am trying to find out where to start.. Ignition module, sensor, ect.
Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks guy's. Ron

Maybe try changing the crank position sensor which puts out what the module calls PIP. I do not know where on your engine it is, but it should not cost too much, $20-30.
