OK 4.6 fans, I'd asked about this a while back and gotten no response, but in blueovalnews.com today, I saw a post on this very subject. Ford has apparently spent a good deal of money to upgrade the Romeo engine plant to give it the capability to produce a 3 valve 4.6 liter motor for use in the 2004 F-150. They didn't quote any specific HP or torque numbers, but we all know what doing this (and related) upgrades to the 5.4 was worth. I for one can't wait. Check out the article for yourselves.

 

So it lloks like '05 we might be able to get a 3V 4.6. I hope so. I also hope the offer a functional manual transmission.

 

I just can't wait to see the 04's. I'm kind of holding off on doing some mods to my current truck until I can see an 04 to decided if I'd rather get one of those.

If I bought a new truck I'd have to get a 5.4L in it though I wouldn't mind moddin' my current 4.6L to see what it can do!
