Hi all!, I am new to your forum. I am a 01 Powerstroke owner who is thinking about downsizing to a F150 4X4. I do my share of off-roading and do not tow much anymore. I would like to know any opinions you might have on the quality of your trucks, mileage, off-road ability. etc. Any and all opinions are welcome. Thanks.

I think a lot of folks would rather go to a powerstroke, I would. The oil burners get better milage and great low speed torque. Even though the F150 is smaller, I don't think enough to make a diiference off road. There also seems to be more after market options for the F250, at least in all the mags I look at. Front lockers, easier lift kits, etc. I have an 02 FX and am haqppy with it. It has LSD out back. Would like to get a locker for the front, but nothing available yet. Good luck. The 04s will be out soon with a lot the problems fixed.

I had a 95 f350 4x4 super cab long bed. I sold it with 170,000 miles and bought a 2002 f 150 super crew fx4 and love it. I don't miss the noisey rough riding f 350 one bit. The only downfall in my opinion is the 150 comes with shift on the fly 4x4, I like the manual shift much better but I don't think you can get the manual shift t-case on the supercrew. I would wait on the 2004 if I were you just last week I went to a Ford Dealer preview and its one hell of a nice truck.
