maf question
what is the size of the maf on a 2003 f150 with a 5.4? My dad just bought the truck, and he was wondering if some of my pulloff parts would work on his truck(throttle body and maf).
The stock MAFS size to 2002 N/A 5.4L was 80 mm.
T/B is 70 MM.
They should be the same for the 2003, there were no noted of change on either of these items.
What truck are you putting them on ?
If your Dad has a 5.4L, the MAFS and the T/B should be the same as yours, depending on the year.

I just went and looked at your profile, no truck info is filled in, but I looked at your posts, and they all seem to be mostly in the L forum. Do you have a L ? ( I have sigs turned off ).
If so, he cannot use the MAFS without a chip burn ( similar to upgrading the 80mm MAFS on the older Ls to the current 90MM MAFS ). Also the T/B, don't even know how to beging to fit that to a N/A 5.4 engine. A lot of work would be my guess.
Neal is still trying to get his tune perfect for the A/Fs he is getting with the 90mm MAFS he has ported to 104mm. On going project that he has going.
Unless you are upgrading the fuel delivery ( pump rail and maybe injectors ) the larger MAFS is not worth the work. Some will say that it is alot of work to upgrade all this and get the tune correct, for a little HP gain ( under 20 HP is what I have read on this so far, myself I don't know one way or another ).
Unless you have done the more pedesterian type mods ( true duals, electric fans, intake, pulleys and the big one for a N/A engine Chip it ) the fuel / air upgrades are not worth starting.
Let me know if it is not a L ( I infered this from the numbers of posts you have in the L forum ), and if you actually have a N/A 5.4L engine ( again sorry I have sigs turned off ).

I own a 2000 L. My dad just bought a 2003 stx with a 5.4 and i was wondering if my stock t/b or maf would work on his truck. The truck already has duals and he bought a hypertech programmer for it last week. We are still looking for pullies. Thought that my pulloffs might work on his truck. they're not doin anything but sitting here collecting dust .
