V6 4.2L Engine Blown?

I was losing coolant, but couldn't find the leak!! (I know the problem now!). Then found water in the oil and before I could get into a mechanic, the bearing went bad from the coolant leaking in the head gasket. Now I am facing a remanufactured engine and $3500. From all the message boards I have seen and others having the same trouble with the front head gasket being faulty. Has anyone had any luck with Ford taking care of this problem. Has any suits been filed or any other consumer action groups been contacted. My story is just like others and Ford needs to step up to the plate on this one. I know the Detroit Tigers are struggling, but time for Ford to hit one out!

Take a peak at the V-6 section.

There are thousands of threads on this subject. Some had OK experiences some got shafted. Seemed like the dealerships had a big hand in it. Some went to bat for the customer and some went to bat for Ford. Talk to AJ, I think he even started a website on this. Best of luck!!

97 XLT with 96K miles and the 4.2L V6. I am still putting together info for a news story and some bad pubilicity for Ford. I found the V-6 section and will continue to monitor it as well. I am trying to get as many responses and gather any possible info I can.
