Power tower
I a was wondering, i have a K&N FIPK for my 99 f150 5.4 v8 and i heard that if you put a aftermarket air kit on that you cant put a power tower or helix throttle body spacer in. Is this true? Or is someone lieing to me. If anyone could help me out it would be much appreciated.

Ford150,
AirRaid makes a FIPK and T/B spacer gizmo, and be bought as a set or individually.
Also another member has I think an ICE-MAN and a Tornado spacer.
As for the specific brand you are asking, I would guess that they install the same way as the ones noted above, so I'd have to say yes it will work, but I never tried it myself.
Might want to search on this topic, several members have tried them, and claim all it did was add in an anoying whistle, but that is what I have read, never tried one myself.
Hope that answers your question.
Good luck.

I installed a Tornado in the intake hose of my Jeep. It fit several of my vehicles and whichever one I put it I saw NO difference. Waste of money!
I installed an Airaid tower between the throttle body and the intake on my 1991 Cherokee. NO power improvement. Not even better throttle response. Annoying whistle. I could play a tune by getting on and off the throttle. Airaid took the tower back and told me they had never heard of it causing a whistle in any application. Waste of money!
Both claim to cause the intake air to swirl. How much swirling is going on as the air is directed through 6 or 8 intake runners leading to the cylinders. I would guess; NONE.
I've learned my lesson. Haven't spent any money on engine mods for my Expy yet.
