My truck a 99 5.4 has been running flawless going down the street it started missing now and then it makes the whole truck shake.There is no warning light on what could cause this it has 59,000 miles it sort of belched when i first started it it runs fine the lays out then runs fine then lays out again.

 

at what rpm and speed is it shaking? If its really a miss then check your plugs, i think coil packs would set a light but im not sure, im also not sure how to check those. Just pull a plug and see how its doing might be time for a change anyway.
