help! truck won't start
hey guys,
i go out to my truck to go to the gym. i left my keys in the ignition the whole night, so i used my extra key to get inside. once inside i tried to start her up with the keys that were already there. nothing happens. no ticking, just absolutly NOTHING. i take the key out and try starting it with the other key. same deal, NOTHING happens. i then proceed to bust out the jumper cables...doesn't work. i took out my superchip, still doesn't start. i am at a loss guys. nothing abnormal has happened lately that i can think of.
a while ago (maybe a week or two) i VERY lightly rear ended a pt cruiser. my bumper got slightly pushed in and when the wheel is all the way over it ever so slightly rubs. i don't see how this would effect my current situation, but i don't know enough about cars to completely rule it out. so any help or suggestions you guys have would be great. i want to do everything i can before i bring her into the dealer. thanks guys.
EDIT: i have 12500 miles FYI.

Take it to the dealer.. You still got warranty.. Although I would strongly recommend that you pull that chip that you mentioned.. Otherwise, THEY CAN LEGALLY VOID ANY POWERTRAIN OR ELECTRICAL WARRANTY...
I'm not sure why your truck won't start.. maybe you should have your battery checked or try to jump it again... I find that sometimes you need to jiggle your jumper cables around A LOT to get it to do anything...
but something about your post REALLY bothers me...
how "lightly" did you hit that pt cruiser? Was the back end of it completely smashed in or what?
I run into things all the time... mostly walls or steel/concrete poles when parking. Sometimes its pretty hard, enough to really throw my head back. I've even hit a wall head on at close to 10 mph...
I've never had any damage to my front bumper... that thing is the most solid bumper i've ever seen.
How hard did you have to hit that car to bend your bumper?!?!
anyways... just making conversation.....

Morn likely a bad connection at the starter. The lug from the battery to the starter is kinda small and its a crimp and its right where corosion can get to it. Climb under and clean the connection, maybe replace the lug.

ssanto,
i really didn't hit the lady that hard. she had NO damage to her car. my bumper had a tiny dent in the chome and the left side was pushed in. you can barely notice its pushed in until you try to turn the wheel all the way over. that is when it slightly rubs.
everyone else, thanks for the suggestions. those are some awesome responses.
