Problem starting after engine warms up
After the engine warms up I have problems turn over the engine. It will eventually start but I may have to wait a minute or two. It almost sounds like the battery is dead but the battery is good, it's a year old and I just had it checked.
I have replaced the alternator, starter, and the battery. The guy at the parts store said I can try replacing the battery cables or setting the up a little timing. The engine does idle a little too low.
In order to set the timing in my truck what is the proper procedure. Don't I have to unhook something before I set the timing?

Rob-
To properly set the base timing on your year Truck you have to disconnect the spout connector. It's a 2 wire plug type connector located at the distributor. Base timing is 10 deg. BTDC. Advancing the timing might make the problem worse, I'd check the Battery cables & grounds for a good clean/tight connection first. Good luck!
