Question Max Speed and Power

Hi All,
I'm importing a 98 F150 into Gt Britain. The truck arrives on the 5th April.

I have to get the vehicle inspected on arrival and one of the questions on the application form is, What is the maximum speed of the vehicle and at what engine speed is maximum power produced?

It is a 4.6 V8 with auto.

The handbook is still in the glove compartment (I hope) and I need to know this to get the inspection lined up for next week.

Thanks in advance.

Adam

The truck has a build in speed limiter of between 90 to 100 mph. This can be bypassed with a Superchip /Tuner. Then it goes to about 130 mph.
The 4.6 makes max torque at ~3100 rpm and max HP at ~4500 rpm.

Thanks.

I don't know why they need this info. Probably to check that the tyres are rated to the top speed or something.

The 98 4.6 is listed at:

210 HP at 4400 rpm's ( I still think it is, but there has been a debate 220??? Ford doesn't even know!).

Top end limiter according to Neal is between 97 and 107 (around there give or take).

290 ft.lbs. of torque at 3250.
