Question vehicle computers

I dont know if im totally off base here, but, does anyone know if the F150 onboard computer can be downloaded into a PC? I see Ford has a subscription service available for diagnostics. I use a code scanner, Ok but ancient technology as far as im concerned. Has anyone tried to do this, or am I suffering from cabin fever. Would appreciate any response.

Your not nuts, There are several companies that make software to read OBDII codes with lap tops. Some also allow you to change settings like odometer, advance curve, ETC. I have seen several models on the net. Look up OBDII on your search engine and I am sure you will find something.
