airbag light flashing code???
I own a 97-4x4 f-150. I am the original owner. I have been having some strange problems with my truck lately , including a missing problem. I got in my truck today and after i started it i noticed that the light in the lower left corner of the instrument cluster was flashing. It is the airbag light. It would flash 3 times then pause then flash 2 times and then a long pause and then the same thing again. After that it just stayed on continuously.I looked it up in the haynes manual and it just says that if it flashes immediately take it to a dealer for service. I would rather fix the problem myself if i can. But i have know idea where to find out what this code means . Any info will be greatly appreciated. Thanks
code 32 is for a bad clockspring. Is your horn and cruise working properly? That is what the clockspring controls, it a little Gadget that is under the airbag in your steering wheel .
I am having this same problem on a '94 F150. The answer here is kind of what I suspected as at times I could move the steering whell and restart and the code went away.
Anyone know a price range of having this fixed??

best i can remember the part cost bout no more than $150. ITs not that hard to replace it just involves disabling your air bags and removing the steering wheel. The clockspring is located right under the wheel. It can only turn so far and if it gets rotated more it messes up and with it cruise and the horn.
