If timing chain is not on right, how will my truck run?

I sent you the info from the shop manual let me know if you didn't get my fax machine would only fax a few pages at a time I guess it needs some work also.

Mx,

I got the fax. That info was sweet. I have the cd but your little comments helped a ton. I had some help from JMC too. The chain links even worked out right. With #6 being the opposite of #1 I followed the compression of #6 coming up and then turned until #1 went down and up again. Put the head on, then the chain with the marks. I couldn't believe it. I don't have it back together yet, should finish tomorrow. The dealership gave me the wrong part so I need to run out at lunch to get the new one.

I've got my fingers crossed that everything is right!
