I X-Plan purchased my truck. I first went to a couple of dealers and got the pricing set on the new 'Screw. Next was the real battle - getting a decent amount for my '98 Super Cab trade in.

Once I got what I thought was a fair offer, I went to make the deal. I had originally told them I was going to bring a cashier's check, but I saw a Ford commercial bragging about their new .9% financing plan. So, the next day I went to take delivery and they gave me the paperwork to review. I then told them I wanted to take advantage of the .9%. At first they told me I couldn't because of my X-Plan pricing, but I called the plan administrator right there from their speakerphone and had them quote the paper that said I was eligible for either the rebate or the financing, if I qualified.

Although they were unhappy about it, they submitted the original pricing they had given to me to Ford Credit and I got the truck financed for .9% on the X-Plan pricing. So, with my trade, I ended up financing roughly $13,000 on the 'Screw in my signature. I felt like I did pretty good with buying this truck, especially since the sticker was $29,865 and they weren't really negotiating too much around here on SuperCrews back in June, 2001.

I wish I was a smart tax-informed kind of guy. I know there are all kinds of loopholes to be taken advantage of, if you really understand the tax laws and such. I just play with stocks and feed my IRA to help fend off the tax man...

Neal~

Any clue as to what you are going to mod. next? You've exhausted almost every mod. option already! Only thing left is a supercharger and some Nos...unless you want to keep your sleeper naturally asperated.

I understand if you want to keep your future mods. a secret. The military, for an example, has their classified jets and equipment, too. Just don't strap a rocket on the bed of your truck: you wouldn't be able to park it on the street without kids sticking gum on the booster part.

Keep Rollin'

HI!... Well MF-150 : I still have to get some 16X10 rear rims, slicks, plasma booster, dyno tune, install my custom built ram air set-up, custom TB, custom fabricated TB ELBOW, aftermarket cams, fully race heads (P.I) and some other tricks I have up my sleeve.
