gas filter clips

Question gas filter clips

i went to replace the gas filter and realize i would need very persuasive force to yank the gas line from the filer. these clips are new to me... any special tools needed?

if they are like mine the no. Just yank and yank to get it out, even bent the filter a little. Putting it is much easier. Oh a screwdriver helped me. thats my "special tool" for almost everything. that or a hammer

You'll need a fuel line disconnect tool. You can buy/rent at most autopart stores.

was that fast or what...i got up to go and came back

this site has made switchen from gm to ford worth the while

i thought you were talking about the clips that hold the filter in place not the lines on it. DO NOT YANK ON THOSE. sorry im tired wasnt reading right. Yeah you need a special tool. Theres a set in places that costs 10 bucks and is all plastic. I really hate that set but it works. The nicer one i like is the metal one it like two pieces with a bolt connecting them like a cross. Thats a little pricier but nicer to have and easier to look for than small plastic pieces of crap

you caught me just in time, my bolt cutters are too big to fit in there anyway
