I have been reading this site for some time and I recently discovered that I have the leaking head gasket on my 99 F-150 5.4L. I an loosing about 1/2 quart per 2500 miles. My question is: Should I try and get an extended warranty either through Ford or a third party? Is this too immoral since I know the problem exsists? I bought the truck used 12 months and 13K miles ago from the local Ford dealer. If I go with a warranty, does anyone know of a good company? Sorry for the lengthy post but I am looking for some advice from people wha have already been there done that.
