Hello...I am new to the board. I am having a problem with my truck. I will be taking it to the dealership wednesday but maybe somebody has an idea what it is so i wont be worrying so bad or maybe i should be.

Tonight i had to pull out in traffic kinda quick and gave it some gas to get out...Well after tha my truck started to act like it was going to stall. At redlights the rpm's dropped a few times down to 0 then shot up to 1500...Then i would be going about 35-40 and would give a tad of gass to speed up and the rpm's shot to over 3000! Its like its not getting gas or something. If anybody experienced anything like this or might have a clue i would appreciate any ideas. If you need more of a detailed description i will try...I appreciat anybody taking the time to read this.

Throttle position sensor going bad? I just checked on one for my '92 and it was $29.00 at AutoZone.

 

Well this morning i got up and got ready for work ...Let the truck warm up for 5 minutes...Then as i was backing outta the driveway..It cut off on me..Another first...Then i tried to crank it ..on second try...It turned over and i got it in driveway...Im gonna try to get it to dealership hopefully it will make it..Thank you for your response...
