Will a FIPK make my catback louder?

Ive been considering a K*N FIPK for a while and im just wondering if that would cause my Full Boar catback to be louder. It already has a nice throaty sound but a little more wouldnt hurt.
Also how much will my torque/accellertoin be noticed the most? Lower speeds?
thanks!

With an FIPK you will have much more noise at full throttle, but the noise is coming from the intake, not the exhaust.

On my truck, the FIPK made no difference in low end power but added power above 3,000 rpm. At low rpm and light throttle, the engine sounded and felt the same as before the FIPK.

Well, in all fairness, it could possibly?? Increased airflow through the engine, more exhaust coming out? hehe! I noticed the power difference in mid to upper range. Like driving on the freeway, and passing. between 2000 and 3000rpms,,,,98

I agree with 98Scream. My K&N FIPK improved my throttle responce a bit. Not to mention the higher end. Where I noticed the most improvment, sound and performance, was when I added the SuperChip from Mike T. This simple mod., along with the cat back and FIPK, trasformed my vehicle. It's louder now and is a lot peppier.

I did the other direction.

FIPk first, then cat back.

The FIPK made more noise under the hood then the stock one, but when I put on the cat back it quieted down the intake noise.

How is that for bass ackwards ???
I didn't know any better at the time

Regardless of where the sound is coming from, the K&N FIPK makes the truck sound great! My brother in law (Chevy fan, his dad builds em in Janesville, WI) says my truck sounds like it's going to suck you right in!

I gotta admit, the first time I put my foot to the floor with my FIPK, it made the hair stand up on the back of my neck. It surprised me how much more intake noise there was. This is with stock exhaust.
