Help with a driveshaft
Yesterday, I was taking off the driveshaft on my'94 Extended cab...And it's a long a§§ driveshaft, too...It's basically two small ones integrated with a giant bearing in the middle...Well, anyway there's a bracket that goes around the bearing holding it into the floorpan. the nut on top is...Get this...17MM, and the bottom 9/16!!!! tell me if that's not insane! Okay, that aside, I started to loosen it, and Got it down about halfway, when it WOULD NOT COME anymore. So now, i'm like Screw it...I go bolt it back in, and Beetween the Nut and bolt there's this metal clip...I don't know if it's vital, or not...Anyway, i broke it..
And now, I can't get it back in...I tried the obvious, holding the nut as i turn the bolt, but it spins! 16mm is too small, 5/8 is too big, 9/16 too small...I can't figure it out! 17mm fits with a little play. vise grips wont fit in there, and i'm stuck! Somone help me!

1994,
1- Why were you removing it in the first place?
2- The driveshaft center bearing bracket is not bolted to the floor pan.
3- If the truck was undercoated it has to be removed from the bolts to ease their removal. Use a paint thinner to remove it.
4- If the bolts are seized go the Canadian Tire and buy some loose nut and coat the bolts.
